Virtual 5K a Success!

To our Teammates, Sponsors, Cheerleaders & Supporters,

Thank you for making this event a success. We were able to raise $1,873 for Comfort Zone Camp. The event raised more than $143K nationally!

I can’t speak for our 23 team members and their races, but I did run an embarrassingly slow 5k! I know I won’t find any sympathy for my excuse but I did run it on the beach…during high tide–so on the softest sand, and during a mini heatwave of 78F 🙂

1 in 14 children in the U.S. will experience the death of a parent or sibling by the age of 18. Thank you to those of you who shared your story with me. These race bibs are in honor of those within our circle whose families have been affected by the loss of a parent or sibling. 

 

 

RTQA is Back On!!

In my best Carole Baskin voice “hey all you cool cats and kittens” have we got a surprise for you. The Virginia Chapter is pumped to be bringing RTQA back! Thanks to our old pal COVID, this will be a virtual experience. We know you have been flooded with online learning content but we hope you tune in with us anyway! We have three great presenters that will be a welcome relief from the basic 1 hour webinar you’ve been watching since spring.

RTQA Comes to RVA-Cancelled Due to COVID

Professional development and continuing education is a foundation block of any successful career. Whether you are reaching towards your RRO credential or just entering the field of Building Envelope Consulting as a contractor or roofing material manufacturer this is the class for you.

Instructors will cover fundamentals of quality assurance, component assembly and quality practice guidelines for a variety of roofing systems, including: role of the roof observer, construction contract documents, daily reports, low-slope roofing, spray-applied foam, steep-slope roofing, ethics and codes.

2019 Fall Conference

Thank you to everyone who came out for our inaugural event! The Virginia Chapter of IIBEC hosted 35 participants, 5 speakers and & 5 vendors at the 2019 Fall Conference. We received great feedback from all parties and look forward to our next event. Stay Tuned!
